abstract = {El objetivo de este artículo es realizar una genealogía de esa pasión que es el miedo a la muerte en el sentido de determinar si ésta conviene o no a nuestra naturaleza. Para ello se analizan el argumento epicúreo que Lucrecio esgrime para demostrar que es irracional temer la muerte, la crítica que del mismo hace M.C. Nussbaum y a partir de la cual desarrolla una terapia coherentemente naturalista de esa pasión, y, ya en la segunda parte, el antídoto contra el miedo que Spinoza elabora basándose en la alegría. La conclusión que se alcanza tras este recorrido es que el miedo es un límite que, sin embargo, posibilita la existencia de los valores humanos.},
organization = {The aim of this article is to make a genealogy of that passion which is the fear to death in the sense to determine if this one agrees or not to our nature. Therefore, the epicurean argument will be analyzed and related with Lucretius, who uses it to demonstrate it is irrational to fear to death. Besides, it shows the critic that M. C. Nussbaum does about this argument and her coherent development of a naturalist therapy of that passion. In the second part, Spinoza elaborates an antidote against the fear based on joy. After reading this book, the conclusion is that the fear is a limit, nevertheless, it makes possible the existence of human values.},
