abstract = {The present article studies the syntax of interjections in New Testament Greek (NTG).  By  analyzing  the  compliance  of  NTG interjections  with  the  six  features associated with the interjective prototype in linguistic typology, the authors conclude the following: NTG interjections exhibit a semi-canonical and semi-extra-systematic profile. Interjections  comply  with  three  features  (lack  of  integration  in  the  clause  grammar, incompatibility with syntactic operations, and a sentence-/clause-/phrase-peripheral (or external) position). The compliance with one feature (phonological separation) is partial. Two  features  tend  to  be  violated  (holophrasticity  and  lack  of  constructional combinatority). The syntactic profile of NTG interjections is highly similar to the profile exhibited by interjections in Classical Greek (5th-4th BCE), which demonstrates that the interjective syntax has remained fairly unaltered, at least, over five centuries.},
abstract = {El presente artículo estudia la sintaxis de las interjecciones en el griego del Nuevo Testamento (GNT). Al analizar el cumplimiento de las interjecciones del GNT con los seis rasgos asociados al prototipo interjectivo en la tipología lingüística, los autores concluyen lo siguiente: las interjecciones del GNT presentan un perfil semiconvencional y semiextrasistemático. Las interjecciones cumplen con tres rasgos: falta de integración en la gramática de la oración; incompatibilidad con operaciones sintácticas; una posición periférica (o externa) respecto a la oración, cláusula o frase. El cumplimiento de un rasgo (separación fonológica) es parcial. Por otro lado, dos rasgos tienden a ser vulnerados: la holofrasticidad y la falta de combinatoria construccional. El perfil sintáctico de las interjecciones en el GNT es muy similar al perfil que presentan las interjecciones en el griego clásico (siglos V-IV a. C.), lo que demuestra que la sintaxis interjectiva se ha mantenido bastante inalterada durante, al menos, cinco siglos.},
