That is the paradox of life; in an overcrowded world, the human being has always felt alone. And lost. Our dreams have been distorted by the absence of our beloved ones. Presence leads to loss. And the only healing for loss is oblivion. Combining poetry, song, music and dance, ‘Beyond the Milestone’ is the new offering of the acclaimed partnership of composer Sergio Camacho with director Luis Ortega, after the opera ‘Three Word Poem About Loss’ and the film ‘The Equivocal Mirror’, in collaboration with the artistic team of the Newcastle-based company Teatro de Nieve. As a unique blend of feelings, textures and colours, ‘Beyond the Milestone’ narrates the convulsed story of an uneven family tied up by the feeling of loss of two of their members, which collapses when one of the missing ones comes back. Only one. Pain is blind. Healing, oblivious. And the Moon, from her eternal snow theatre, looks down to our small tribulations. And keeps quiet. Beyond the Milestone performance was commissioned by VAMOS Festival. It was also presented as a symphonic suite by the Royal Northern Sinfonia, conducted by H.K Grüber, at the SAGE Gateshead.}, organization = {VAMOS Festival}, organization = {Royal Northern Sinfonia}, organization = {Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning Music and Inclusivity}, publisher = {Teatro de Nieve}, title = {Beyond the Milestone}, author = {Camacho Fernández, Sergio}, }
