abstract = {In the third book, paragraph 391, of his technical treatise entitled De rhetorica facultate libri tres, Jesuit Father Bartolomé Alcázar (1648-1721) mentions the Dutch erudite encyclopedist Gerardus Ioannes Vossius (1577-1649), who was the writer of a rhetorical treatise entitled Commentariorum rhetoricorum sive oratoriarum institutionum libri sex. By means of this paper, we have intended to identify and analyze the specific passages that Alcázar has borrowed from Vossius for the drawing up the auxilia memoriae.},
