abstract = {El retablo mayor de la antigua iglesia de los jesuitas de Granada pasa por ser uno de los más significativos hitos en el desarrollo de la retablística barroca andaluza. En este estudio se esclarece el proceso constructivo del mismo y se indaga sobre las tendencias estilísticas que suscribe para intentar comprender mejor su aportación a ese desarrollo. Del mismo modo, se analizan las líneas argumentales de su programa iconográfico y se contextualiza en conjunto en el marco del peculiar mecenazgo artístico de la Compañía de Jesús.},
abstract = {The main altarpiece of the old Jesuit church in Granada is thought to be one of the most important Works in the development of altarpieces in the Andalusian Baroque. This paper clarifies its construction and explores its style in detail, in order to contribute to a better understanding of its place in the development of this Baroque. At the same time we examine the main aspects of the iconography it presents and places this in the context of the specific artistic patronage of the Society of Jesus.},
