abstract = {En este artículo se pretende analizar las distintas visiones que de la ciudad de Ronda y su
arquitectura tuvieron los viajeros y cronistas que escribieron sobre la ciudad. Hemos acotado
en el tiempo las publicaciones, empezando por dos viajeros-geógrafos árabes de los
siglos XIII y XIV, hasta los viajeros románticos del siglo XIX; no se ha querido incluir libros
del siglo XX ya que la llegada del tren a la ciudad de Ronda a finales del siglo XIX introduce
factores de rapidez que desvirtúan la visión pausada de la ciudad.
Para este análisis se han localizado más de cincuenta libros en distintas fuentes, desde
la principal, la Biblioteca Nacional de España, y otras bibliotecas nacionales, hasta, a través
de plataformas digitales internacionales, bibliotecas de universidades extranjeras y
nacionales.
De las publicaciones estudiadas se han destacados aquellas que dan una visión original y
que transmiten una imagen interesante de la ciudad.},
abstract = {In this article, we aim to analyze the various perspectives that travelers and chroniclers who
wrote about the city of Ronda and its architecture had. We have delimited the time frame of
the publications, starting with two Arab traveler-geographers from the 13th and 14th centuries,
up to the romantic travelers of the 19th century. Books from the 20th century have not
been included, as the arrival of the train in the city of Ronda at the end of the 19th century
introduced speed factors that distorted the leisurely view of the city.
For this analysis, more than fifty books have been located from various sources, including
the main one, the National Library of Spain, as well as other national libraries and, through
international digital platforms, libraries of foreign and national universities.
Among the studied publications, we have highlighted those that provide an original perspective
and convey an interesting image of the city.},
