El comportamiento electoral en Andalucía: un análisis municipal

Abstract

Este estudio analiza la existencia de relaciones entre variables referidas a aspectos económicos y de bienestar social con el comportamiento electoral en Andalucía. En concreto, se parte del año 1982 en el que se producen las primeras elecciones al Parlamento de Andalucía (23 de mayo), además de consolidarse en ese año el sistema parlamentario en las elecciones al Congreso de los Diputados (28 de octubre). Los resultados y conclusiones de esta investigación se justifican tanto por el nivel de desagregación realizado –el ámbito de análisis son los municipios andaluces (761)- como por el planteamiento metodológico desarrollado, con una nueva perspectiva de análisis respecto a estudios de este ámbito. Se trata de una investigación relacionada con la economía y las políticas públicas andaluzas. El estudio se centra en el análisis del comportamiento electoral de los andaluces, con referencia al municipio en el que está censado, a través de una perspectiva empírica cuyo propósito es evaluar el peso de los distintos factores económicos en el voto que se manifiesta en el ámbito municipal. Ello permite, además, contrastar las distintas explicaciones que pueden darse respecto al declive electoral de ciertos partidos y al aumento de apoyos de otros.

This study analyzes the existence of relationships between variables referring to economic and social well-being aspects with electoral behavior in Andalusia. Specifically, it starts from the year 1982 in which the first elections to the Parliament of Andalusia took place (May 23), in addition to consolidating that year the parliamentary system in the elections to the Congress of Deputies (October 28). The results and conclusions of this research are justified both by the level of disaggregation carried out – the area of analysis is the Andalusian municipalities (761) – and by the methodological approach developed, with a new perspective of analysis regarding studies in this area. This is research related to the Andalusian economy and public policies. The study focuses on the analysis of the electoral behavior of Andalusians, concerning the municipality in which they are registered, through an empirical perspective whose purpose is to evaluate the weight of the different economic factors in the vote that is manifested in the area. municipal. This also allows us to contrast the different explanations that can be given regarding the electoral decline of certain parties and the increase in support of others.
