De larga duración: el mobiliario rural en el reino de Granada (siglo XVIII)

Abstract

Con esta investigación queremos enfatizar el papel de la continuidad en el amueblamiento de los hogares rurales del Setecientos español. No es que no haya cambios, sino que estos son lentos y muy desiguales en el tiempo y en el espacio como sucede en el caso del Valle de Lecrín del antiguo reino de Granada. Esta pauta cultural nos obliga a poner en relación diferentes factores, no siempre considerados por la historiografía, para comprender la manera en que los agentes sociales construyen los espacios doméstico. Es decir, las reglas morales que organización el género y la clase, los ideales del hogar ligados a producción y la reproducción, la materialidad de las arquitecturas y los recursos disponibles.

With this research the continuity and long durée of furnishings in rural households in 18th Century Spain is emphasized. It is not that there is no change, but that it is slow and very uneven over time and space as with the case of the Lecrín Valley in the former Kingdom of Granada. This cultural pattern requires bringing together different factors not always considered by historiography in order to understand the way in which domestic spaces are constructed by social agents. That is to say, the moral rules that govern gender and class, the ideals of the home linked to production and reproduction, the material nature of the architecture and the available resources.
