El VIH, una definición de la realidad

Abstract

El presente texto describe las múltiples representaciones que un grupo de informantes tienen acerca del VIH, a partir de su diagnóstico positivo a este virus. Consta de tres secciones: La primera hace referencia al virus del VIH como un problema de salud pública a nivel nacional e internacional. La segunda trata de la justificación del tema y de las características generales del grupo de estudio. Por último, se incluyen resultados, conclusiones y propuestas sobre la investigación.

The present text describes the multiple representations that a group of informants gets on the HIV, starting from its positive diagnosis concerning this virus. It consists of three sections: The first refers to the HIV virus as a problem of public health at the national and international levels. The second one deals with the justification of the topic and of the general characteristics of the study group. Lastly, there are some results, conclusions, and proposals derived from the research.
