Abstract
This article analyzes the anonymous Nouveaux proverbes espagnols et français printed by Jean-Baptiste Loyson in 1660. After a comparation with Oudin’s Refranes, we show how the printer plagiarized this work after doing some modifications. We also study the works published by Blaise-Christophe Julliani, an Italian teacher of languages, who the Nouveaux proverbes has been frequently ascribed to.
