En esta tesis estudiamos propiedades de soluciones estables de ecuaciones elípticas
semilineales con no linealidades generales. Esta clase de soluciones incluye
minimizadores locales del funcional de energía asociado, soluciones mínimas, soluciones
extremales, y también algunas soluciones que se encuentran entre una sub
y súper solución. Particularmente trabajamos cuatro problemas: dos en el espacio
euclídeo RN y dos en la bola unitaria donde obtenemos resultados relevantes para
la solución extremal.
Nuestra motivación para trabajar este tipo de soluciones se debe, en primer lugar
al estudio de resultados obtenidos por Cabré, Capella, Dupaigne, Farina, Sanchón,
Villegas y Warnault, entre otros, sobre la existencia, monotonía, estimaciones de
derivadas radiales y regularidad de una solución estable. Además utilizamos ideas
de los autores para completar parte de los trabajos, obtener nuevos resultados y responder a preguntas abiertas propuestas por los mismos. Otra motivación del
presente trabajo es dar respuesta a diferentes cuestiones planteadas en el proyecto
de investigación MTM2009-10878.
Estamos particularmente interesados en las relaciones entre su estabilidad, simetría
y regularidad.
