Las habilidades sociales es una de los puntos más importantes de la educación especial, pues pretende que los alumnos con necesidades específicas de apoyo educativo tengan un desarrollo autónomo propio a la que la sociedad actual exige.
La realización de este trabajo tiene como principal objetivo analizar el grado de habilidad y competencia social que poseen los alumnos de tres aulas de P.T.V.A.L (Programa de Transición a la Vida Adulta y Laboral) del colegio de Educación Especial estudiado, a través del punto de vista del profesorado.
El diseño utilizado en este investigación ha sido un diseño trasversal y descriptivo, pues intenta describir una característica o fenómeno de la realidad educativa, y a su vez, mide de manera individual los conceptos y las variables a las que se refiere. Dando como resultados el buen desarrollo del alumnado en cuanto a las habilidades sociales básicas como saludar, ayudar a la gente, pedir prestado algo… así como la impulsividad y la agresividad como unas de las principales causas de su desfavorable integración social.
