This paper aims to identify ways that students in fourth of ESO given to communication in social
networks via mobile. Ways that go beyond the numerous reports that have been made in our
country about the variety of uses that make these students, their times and places communication
frequency and the uses for age, sex, origin or type of device. The methodology for achieving that
goal has been qualitative, namely has used the technique of focus groups, which allowed us to
have knowledge of the speech of these young people, according to different discursive positions
from discourse analysis. The results show the variety of positions adopted regarding the
acquisition, consumption, relative to others, dependence and feelings channeled through this
device.
