Argelia, 2014: elecciones, partidos y sociedad civil como claves analíticas de continuidad y cambio

Abstract

Este trabajo concibe las elecciones en contextos no democráticos como posible estructura de oportunidad para la canalización de reivindicaciones de democratización desde el campo de la sociedad civil al terreno de la acción de partido. Dicho enfoque se traslada al análisis de los escenarios pre-electoral y post-electoral de los comicios presidenciales argelinos de 2014. Su objetivo es clarificar el significado de la relación entre elecciones, partidos y sociedad civil en el país, así como su contribución a la dinámica política y la estabilidad del régimen.

The article approaches elections in non democratic contexts as a potential structure of opportunity for the canalization of social demands of democratic change from the civil society arena to the domain of political parties. This theoretical-analytical framework guides the study of the pre-election and post-election phases of the 2014 Algerian presidential contest, with the aim of clarifying both the relationship between elections, civil society organizations and political parties in the country, and its contribution to the stability and political dynamic of the Algerian regime.
