El desaparecido patrimonio mueble del Palacio Arzobispal de Valencia

Abstract

El Palacio Arzobispal de Valencia fue, después del Palacio Real, demolido en 1810, la residencia más importante que había en el Antiguo Reino de Valencia. Aunque esta importancia también se manifestó en su perdida arquitectura, este artículo se centra en el patrimonio mueble que había en este recinto palaciego y en cómo fue desapareciendo en diferentes escenarios bélicos que se remontan al siglo XVIII con la Guerra de Sucesión.

Together with the Royal Palace, demolished in 1810, the Archbishop's Palace of Valencia was the most relevant residence building of the Old Kingdom of Valencia. Although its importance was also present in its lost architectural features, this paper focuses on the movable heritage that pertained to this palace complex and on its progressive disappearance during different theaters of war, which started in the eighteenth century with the War of Succession.
