Agua, infraestructura y paisaje en el espacio fluvial del río Genil: la acequia de Tarramonta

Abstract

El principal objetivo de esta comunicación es mostrar cómo la red de acequias y las infraestructuras hidráulicas del espacio fluvial de la Vega de Granada, pueden ser los elementos de cohesión de la red de espacios públicos del área metropolitana de esta ciudad. Para ello, se ha investigado cómo debe ser el uso público del lugar, y se ha dado forma a una red de espacios libres compatible con la principal actividad de la zona, la agricultura. Así, la pregunta que se ha planteado es, ¿Cómo debe ser el espacio libre productivo de la vega en su contexto metropolitano, y qué función puede tener el espacio fluvial en la aglomeración urbana de Granada? Esta reflexión nos lleva a definir una propuesta sobre cómo sería el parque metropolitano, que reestructure los espacios libres para que sea compatible con el uso productivo el de ocio, y donde estén ligados al patrimonio hidráulico y los paisajes del agua. La red de espacios públicos tiene el objetivo de crear un paisaje de lugares que vincule elementos reconocibles de la vega, el río Genil y el área metropolitana. Las conexiones y los lugares se han destacado por su valor público, paisajístico, de memoria, patrimonial o por su capacidad de crear nuevas relacionales.

The main objective of this paper is to show how the network of canals and water infrastructure of the river area of the Vega of Granada, may be the cohesive elements of the network of public spaces in the metropolitan area of this city. To this end, we have investigated how should the public use of the site, and has shaped a network of open spaces support the main activity of the area, agriculture. So, the question that has been raised is, how should be the productive space in metropolitan context vega, and what role can the river area in the urban sprawl of Granada? This leads us to define a proposal on how would the metropolitan park, which restructures the clearances to be compatible with the productive use of leisure, and where assets are linked to hydraulic and water landscapes. The network of public spaces aims to create a landscape of sites linking recognizable elements of the plain, the river Genil and the metropolitan area. The connections and locations are distinguished for their public value, landscape, memory, heritage or their ability to create new relational.
