abstract = {En el marco de la creciente valoración del patrimonio arquitectónico construido en madera, a nivel mundial, son casi inexistentes los estudios que analizan las arquitecturas de viviendas y casas de madera de Belice, la antigua Honduras Británica y las de su área de influencia, el sur del estado mexicano de Quintana Roo. Se trata de un tipo de arquitectura con características bioclimáticas, decorativas y constructivas, que toma diferentes influencias, ya sean las que entroncan con la tradición de la casa maya, ya sean las de origen colonial británico, especialmente el bungalow. Influencias que se amalgaman en una simbiosis que da sus características propias y específicas. El trabajo que presentamos pretende dar noticia de esas características de forma general.},
abstract = {Within the framework of the growing appreciation of architectural heritage constructed in wood, on a world level, hardly any studies analyse the architecture of dwellings and houses of wood in Belize, old British Honduras, or those of its area of influence, the south of the Mexican state of Quintana Roo. This is a type of architecture with bioclimatic, decorative, and construction characteristics that reveal different influences, whether stemming from the tradition of the Maya house, or of British colonial origin, especially the bungalow. These influences are amalgamated in a symbiosis that takes on its own specific characteristics. The work seeks to report on these characteristics in a general way.},
