Los objetivos de este estudio aspiran a evidenciar la relación existente entre la IEP y la Ansiedad, tratando de comprobar si existen diferencias significativas con relación a las variables sociodemográficas propuestas, las cuales en este caso son: género y años de experiencia en el ámbito educativo. La muestra está compuesta por 106 docentes en ejercicio del Colegio PP. Escolapios “Dulce Nombre de María” de Granada (España). Los instrumentos utilizados han sido un cuestionario sociodemográfico (género, años de experiencia y nivel educativo), el Trait Meta-Mood Scale 24 (TMMS-24) (Fernández-Berrocal, Extremera y Ramos, 2004) y el cuestionario de Ansiedad Estado Rasgo (STAI) (Spielberger, Gorsuch y Lushene, 2008). Se han obtenido diferencias significativas en ciertas dimensiones de los instrumentos de medida utilizados con respecto a las variables sociodemográficas tenidas en cuenta. The Perceived Emotional Intelligence (PEI) and Anxiety assume high significance among teachers both in their professional careers and professional development. The main objectives of this academic research intend to demonstrate the existent relationship between the PEI and Anxiety by attempting to verify whether there are important differences related to the socio-demographic variables proposed, which are Gender and Years of Experience in the educational community. The research comprises 106 active teachers from the School named ‘PP. Escolapios-Dulce Nombre de María’ from Granada (Spain). The research tools have been socio-demographic questionnaires (Gender, Year of Experience and Education Level); the Trait Meta-Mood Scale 24 or TMMS-24 by Fernández-Berrocal, Extremera and Ramos (2004); and the State Trait Anxiety Inventory or STAI by Spielberg, Gorsuch and Lushene (2008).
