      <dc:description>Hasta hace poco tiempo, la actividad profesional del arquitecto sevillano José María Rodríguez Cano en la Mezquita-Catedral de Córdoba había pasado completamente desapercibida. Este artículo pretende mostrar el resultado de las investigaciones realizadas sobre su figura y sobre las intervenciones que realizó en el edificio. La situación administrativa para la conservación y gestión del patrimonio desarrollada en los años 20 y su nombramiento en 1930 como arquitecto jefe de la zona V supusieron el inicio de una nueva forma de entender la restauración de la Mezquita-Catedral. Para esta tarea contó con la colaboración de Félix Hernández, quien se hizo cargo de la conservación del edificio tras la Guerra Civil.</dc:description>
      <dc:description>Until recently, the professional activity of the sevillian architect Jose Maria Rodriguez Cano in the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba had passed completely unnoticed. This article aims to show the results of research on both his figure and the interventions he conducted in the building. The administrative status of the conservation and management of heritage developed in the 20s and his appointment in 1930 as chief architect of the fifth area leaded the emergence of a new understanding of the Mosque-Cathedral restoration. He was assisted by Felix Hernandez in this task, who took over the maintenance of the building after the Civil War.</dc:description>
