The main aim of this review is to collect literature published on adoption and school from the year 2000 to the present, so that these can be used as orientation by those professionals interested in investigation about school, family and adoption. As a result of the increased number of adoptions in the last decade in Spain, there has emerged the need to know how previous experiences of adopted children influence their later psychological, emotional and social development. The majority of the reviewed documents agree that adopted children find some difficulties to accommodate to school, specially international adopted children in regard to the language, but these are overcoming when children improve their self-esteem and create links with their families, friends, environment… This review allows to check that there are few studies on school adjustment of adopted children, and therefore, there are few guidelines that education professionals can use to facilitate the integration and adaptation of adopted children. 2015-05-20T10:25:20Z 2015-05-20T10:25:20Z 2015-05-20 info:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesis http://hdl.handle.net/10481/36223 spa http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/ info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 License
