      <dc:description>Introducción: La ciencia investiga para aportar soluciones a la sociedad&#xd;
pero en época de crisis quiere que la inversión en investigación revierta&#xd;
rápidamente. Objetivo: Analizar la relación existente entre el ranking de&#xd;
un indicador bibliométrico, producción científica del tópico JJOO “Olympic”&#xd;
y el ranking de un indicador de la influencia de los resultados de la&#xd;
investigación de este tópico en la sociedad, ranking JJOO. Resultados:&#xd;
Correlación directa y moderadamente significativa entre el ranking de&#xd;
nº publicaciones WoS 2008 y el ranking JJOO 2008 con un rs=.488,&#xd;
p=.000, y R2=.229. Siendo positivo ABFR-Index=.572 y moderadamente&#xd;
significativo. Conclusiones: Se puede afirmar que hay influencia directa&#xd;
de los resultados de la investigación en la sociedad en relación al tópico&#xd;
JJOO “Olympic”; ABFR-Index será en el futuro un referente para&#xd;
interpretar las relaciones entre mundo científico y la influencia de sus&#xd;
resultados en la sociedad.</dc:description>
      <dc:description>Introduction: Science research to provide solutions to society in times&#xd;
of crisis but investing in research wants to reverse quickly. Objective: To&#xd;
analyze the relationship between the ranking of a bibliometric indicator,&#xd;
scientific production of the topic “Olympic” and the ranking of an indicator&#xd;
of the influence of the results of research on this topic in society,&#xd;
Olympic Games ranking. Results: Moderately significant and direct correlation&#xd;
between ranking of WoS publications 2008 and Olympic Games&#xd;
ranking 2008 with a rs =.488, p =.000, R2=.229. ABFR-Index =.572&#xd;
remain positive and moderately significant. Conclusions: We can say&#xd;
that there is direct influence of research results in society in relation to&#xd;
the topic “Olympic” ABFR-Index will be in future a reference to interpret&#xd;
the relationship between the scientific world and the influence of their&#xd;
results in the society.</dc:description>
