Hacia una lectura nómada de la inmigración, o de la corporeidad performativa

Abstract

El autor participa como investigador en un proyecto sobre "Las condiciones de vida del colectivo ecuatoriano en la zona del Valle del Guadalentín". La revisión de la literatura existente, y sus vivencias con el conjunto de ecuatorianos entre quienes vive, le han empujado a formular algunos interrogantes sobre los que se fundamenta este ensayo: ¿No es posible que estemos encubriendo con nuestro relativismo cultural (la defensa de su derecho a la diferencia) la segregación legalista con la que la legislación moderna marca la extranjería del inmigrante? Como advertencia epistemológica, es necesario reflexionar sobre los implícitos éticos que conlleva esta visualización a priori de dos comunidades distintas, la lorquina y la ecuatoriana. Pues, al remarcar esta distinción de antemano, corremos el riesgo de "delimitar un campo de estudio" que naturaliza esa frontera como constituyente de la realidad social misma.

The author participates as a researcher in a project on "The conditions of life of the Ecuadorean community in the Valley of Guadalentín area". The review of the existing literature, and his experiences with the group of Ecuadoreans, where he lives, has led him to formulate some questions on which this essay is based: Is it possible that we are hiding with our cultural relativism (defence of the right to be different) the legalistic segregation by which the modern legislation marks the foreignness of the immigrant? It is necessary to meditate, as an epistemological warning, the ethical implications that this presupposition of two different communities -the Lorquinan and the Ecuadorean- bears? In marking this distinction, we run the risk of "defining a study field" which naturalizes that border as a true constituent of the social reality, when emphasizing this a priori distinction.
