Testigos de Jehová. Mundo, creencias, conducta

Abstract

En el presente trabajo se analiza cuales son las creencias, el modo de vida y los puntos de vista sobre el mundo de la organización religiosa testigos de Jehová. Se hace hincapié en como utilizan un lenguaje específico como método de adoctrinamiento y como este vocabulario se transfiere a la vida cotidiana de sus miembros, reforzando la identidad entre sus adherentes. Se toma como eje central de su conducta, sus puntos de vista acerca del devenir del mundo (cercana destrucción) y como esto deshilvana su accionar, en lo que toca a su reconstrucción conceptual del mundo tanto para sí mismo como para la relación con el otro.

The present work analyses the beliefs, the lifestyle, and the points of view on the world of the religious organization Jehovah's Witnesses. Emphasis is placed on the way in which they use specific language as a method of indoctrination and how this vocabulary is transferred to the everyday life of its members, reinforcing the identity of the members. The central axis of their conduct is taken to be the viewpoints concerning the future of the world (regarding destruction) and how this disjoints their power of acting in terms of conceptual reconstruction of the world both for themselves as well as in relation to others.
