Movimientos sociales y Trabajo Social: miradas y difusión científica.

Abstract

La ola de movilización mundial iniciada a comienzos de la presente década, que registra episodios de contienda política en diferentes puntos del planeta, ha provocado un renovado interés de las Ciencias Sociales por el fenómeno de los movimientos sociales, la contienda política y la acción colectiva. El Trabajo Social no es ajeno a esta vigorosa corriente de estudios sobre el fenómeno de la movilización ciudadana. Con este artículo pretendemos, por un lado, reflexionar acerca los movimientos sociales desde la mirada del Trabajo Social, y por otro, explorar en la producción científica que venimos haciendo las/os trabajadoras/es sociales. Para ello hemos realizado un estudio exploratorio en el que hemos indagado en la difusión de las investigaciones sobre movimientos sociales en las revistas científicas de Trabajo Social de cuatro países iberoamericanos: Argentina, España, México y Perú. Los resultados ponen de manifiesto no sólo el creciente interés por el fenómeno de estudio sino también los enfoques teóricos, o categorías de análisis, y las filiaciones institucionales de las publicaciones.

The wave of global mobilization initiated at the beginning of current decade, in which episodes of political struggle have been recorded in different parts of the world, has provoked a renewed interest of the Social Sciences for the phenomenon of social movements and collective action. Social Work is not alien to this vigorous stream of studies on the phenomenon of citizen mobilization. With this article we intend, on the one hand, to reflect on social movements from the perspective of Social Work, and on the other, to explore in the scientific production that social workers have been doing on this matter. For this purpose we have carried out an exploratory study in which we have investigated the dissemination of research on social movements in the scientific journals of Social Work from four Ibero-American countries: Argentina, Spain, Mexico and Peru. The results show the growing interest in the phenomenon studied as well as the theoretical approaches, or analytical categories, and the institutional affiliations of the scientific publications.
