Limitada es la información que poseíamos hasta ahora sobre este conspicuo personaje. s in embargo, un conjunto documental, disperso en varios archivos, ha posibilitado la realización de este artículo en el que se traza la biografía, hasta donde los documentos permiten, del que fuera titular de los mayorazgos y c asa de Granada desde 1565 hasta su fallecimiento en 1611. sin duda, es su intervención en la rebelión morisca lo más conocido, que ahora se completa, al tiempo que se perfila, en sendos epígrafes, el hombre, el regidor, las mercedes reales que recibió, las demandas que contra él entabló su primogénito y, por último, el patrimonio que poseía a finales de la décimo sexta centuria.

The information that we possess about this conspicuous person is limited. However, using a group of documents dispersed through various archives, it’s possible to draw up a biography, until the documents permit, who was given the title of mayorazgos and House of Granada from 1565 until his death in 1611. Without a doubt, his intervention in the m oorish rebelion is the most well known aspect of his life, that now is completed, at the time that is draw up, in both epigraphs, the man, the councilor, the royal gifts that he received, the lawsuits which his eldest son took against him, finally, the heritage that he possessed until the end of the sixteenth century.
