La hospitalización infantil: El tiempo libre en el aula hospitalaria y el papel de las familias

Abstract

El presente trabajo ofrece un proyecto de intervención pedagógica realizado en el aula hospitalaria del Hospital Universitario San Cecilio de Granda, en el cual trabajaremos con los niños hospitalizados de edades comprendidas entre 6 y 16 años. Conoceremos más de cerca lo que es la pedagogía hospitalaria, las funciones del pedagogo hospitalario y su lugar de trabajo: el aula hospitalaria. Este proyecto de intervención consiste en ofrecer esta aula como un espacio en el que los niños1hospitalizados puedan hacer de su estancia un tiempo de ocio educativo, aprendiendo y divirtiéndose a la vez y reafirmando el valor del juego en el entorno de hospitalización infantil. Al hablar del juego se hace referencia a la participación e involucración de las familias con sus hijos. Destacaremos cuál es el papel de las familias en este sector y como beneficia el juego tanto a los padres como a los hijos, reforzando los lazos afectivos y la seguridad del niño enfermo. Asimismo, hablaremos del papel que cumplen las familias durante el proceso de hospitalización de sus hijos y cómo se sienten.

The current essay offers a project of pedagogic intervention realized in the hospitable room of the Hospital Universitario San Cecilio of Granada, in which we will be working with hospitalized children from 6 to 16 years old.We will get to know in depth what hospitable pedagogy is and its working place: the hospitable room. This intervention project consists in offering this room as a space in which hospitalized children are able to do a period of educative leisure during their stay in the hospital, learning and enjoying at the same time and reaffirming the value of the game in the children’s hospitalization environment. When talking about the game, one makes reference to the participation and involvement of the families with their children. We will highlight what the families’ role is in this sector and how the game benefits the game to both parents and their children, reinforcing the bonds and the safety of the ill child. Likewise, we will talk about the role that families play during their children’s hospitalization process and how they feel.
