Estudio sobre actitudes hacia la asignatura de matemáticas en Educación Primaria

Abstract

El objetivo principal de este trabajo ha sido verificar y constatar como la actitud de los alumnos hacia las matemáticas va decayendo a lo largo de los cursos académicos. En el amplio concepto de la actitud hay una serie de factores que afectan a su origen y construcción por parte del sujeto tales como la fuerte influencia del contexto; tanto escolar, familiar y social del individuo. Además también se comprueba la existencia de cierto distanciamiento en la percepción del docente con respecto a la actitud de sus alumnos conforme se avanza en los niveles educativos, así como la influencia de la actitud en el rendimiento académico de los discentes.

The main aim of this study has been to verify and corroborate how the student’s attitudes towards mathematics deteriorate along the academic courses. In the immense concept of attitude, there are range of components that influence in their origin and construction such as the strong influence of the context; both school, family and social around the subject. Apart from that, the existence of certain divergence among the teacher’s perception regarding their student’s attitude as they progress in the educational system, as well as the attitude’s influence in the academic performance of the students.
