Elección y preferencia de valores en estudiantes universitarios mexicanos

Abstract

Este estudio consiste en conocer y analizar la elección y preferencias que muestra un grupo de estudiantes de la Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán (México) (n=400) acerca de un conjunto amplio de valores. Se llevó a cabo una investigación descriptiva correlacional-cuantitativa en la que se solicitó a los participantes que expresaran su mayor o menor agrado hacia diez categorías de valores mediante un cuestionario con validez criterial (95% de confianza) y fiabilidad (α= .96). Los resultados permiten identificar una jerarquía en la que los estudiantes expresan su mayor o menor agrado hacia cada uno de los valores propuestos, y posibles predicciones entre un conjunto de variables.

The purpose of this study is to understand and analyze the choice and preferences showing a group of students from the Autonomous University of Yucatan (Mexico) (n = 400) about a wide whole of values. We carried out an descriptive-quantitative research in which the participants were asked to express their greater or lesser degree of satisfaction towards ten categories of values by means of a questionnaire with criterial validity (95% trust) and reliability (α = .96). The results allow to identify a hierarchy in which students express their degree of satisfaction to each one of the proposed values, and possible predictions from a set of variables.
