A large number of studies analyze the contributions of choral singing in elementary school. All agree on the benefits of choral singing at different levels, beyond music. This interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary impact influences attitudinal, educational, conceptual, cultural and psychosocial aspects. Therefore, artistic and musical experiences should be part of the daily life of our schools and become a transversal tool of cooperative work. Therefore, besides the support of the entire school community, it is necessary to have the figure of a skilled and competent teacher in the field. This teacher must know musical language and musical direction technique, but must also be able to view and take the magnitude and potential of his tool. For some years, in the area of Musical Education Teaching at the University of the Balearic Islands, we work for future teachers to acquire the necessary skills to assume the role of a catalyst and enhancer of collective singing skills. Through the project “Música Viva” our students, specialists and generalists, have the opportunity to experience, in university education, a choral experience that will serve them as a model for their teaching. In this article we make an approach and analysis of the project from a methodological, social and educational perspective.es_ES
