La formación profesional en España: historia y actualidad

Abstract

En este artículo se revisan las enseñanzas de formación profesional en España, para dar a conocer su situación general y su tratamiento en el contexto del sistema educativo. Para ello, se analiza en perspectiva histórica las disposiciones legales más representativas que regulan estas enseñanzas, y se concluye señalando que si tradicionalmente la formación profesional no ha tenido la atención que se merece, en la actualidad está perfectamente armonizada en nuestro sistema educativo y goza de una mayor flexibilidad, tanto en su acceso como en las relaciones entre los distintos subsistemas, manteniendo diversas conexiones con la educación general.

This article shows the vocational training teaching in Spain in order to let readers know its general situation and its treatment in the context of the educational system. Therefore, the most representative laws regarding these teachings have been analyzed in an historical perspective and the article ends up stating that if vocational training has not traditionally had the attention it deserves, nowadays it is perfectly harmonized in our educational system and it has greater flexibility both in its access and in the relations between the different subsystems, keeping different connections to general education.
