El método del fluor para fechar la edad de un fósil óseo

Abstract

Se ha hecho un examén bibliográfico de la materia y se ha llegado a la conclusión de que no hay una relación directa entre el contenido de flúor del hueso y el tiempo en el que el hueso fue enterrado . Distintos autores han postulado que las variaciones encontradas son debidas a las acumulaciones más grandes o más pequeñas de flúor en el hueso durante el tiempo de vida del animal.

A bibliographical examination of the subject is made and the conclusion is reached that there is no direct relation between the fluorine content of the bone and the time the bone has been buried. The hypothesis is put forward that the variations found by the different authors are due to the larger or smaller accumulations of fluorine in the bone during the lifetime of the animal.
