Dos sencillos métodos espectrofotométricos para la determinación de la citarabina y de su formulación inyectable

Abstract

Se han desarrollado dos rápidos y sencillos métodos de espectrofotometría ultravioleta para la estimación de citarabina en agua destilada (M1) y metanol (M2). Estos métodos se han comparado con el método de cromatografía de líquidos de alto rendimiento (HPLC) descrito en la farmacopea de Estados Unidos. Se han establecido parámetros analíticos como la estabilidad, la exactitud y la precisión de ambos métodos y se han evaluado estadísticamente dichos parámetros para determinar las aplicaciones de los dos métodos. Ambos métodos presentaron ventajas en cuanto a su simplicidad, estabilidad, reproducibilidad y exactitud frente a los métodos no espectrofotométricos existentes utilizados para los análisis comunes del fármaco de formulaciones farmacéuticas.

Two rapid and simple ultraviolet spectrophotometric methods for the estimation of cytarabine in distilled water (ME1) and methanol (ME2) has been developed and has been compared with the high performance liquid chromatographic method (HPLC) reported in the United States Pharmacopoeia. Analytical parameters such as stability, accuracy and precision have been established for both the methods and evaluated statistically to assess the applications of the two methods. Both the methods were found to have the advantages for simplicity, stability, reproducibility and accuracy for using as an alternate to the existing non-spectrophotometric methods for the routine analysis of the drug in pharmaceutical formulations.
