Listar DCA - Comunicaciones Congresos, Conferencias, ... por financiación "The neighborhoods begin to claim their place as urban heritage in the imaginary of cities, but their management is a challenge -due to its obsolescence- in terms of rehabilitation, protection and maintenance. The neighborhood cooperative might be a viable instrument of architectural, urban, economic and social regeneration, based on the concept of citizen business group with long-term objectives: rehabilitation, creation of neighborhood networks that share services or financing projects. Examples such as Coin Street in London or Covicivi in Montevideo demonstrate how this concept becomes a model of urban revitalization, valuing urban heritage increasingly recognized and generating identity among its own inhabitants. A learning that allows us to transfer the model to the case of the neighborhood of Sixto (Malaga), as a laboratory where to test these assumptions of neighborhood association for the recovery of an emerging heritage.."
