La nueva novela libanesa: de la posguerra a un futuro incierto

Abstract

El fin de la guerra civil ha hecho que numerosos autores libaneses que escribían en árabe fueran traducidos y conocidos en Europa y en los EEUU. Se trata de una generación cuyas obras emergen principalmente en los años ochenta y noventa y se caracterizan por escribir un tipo de literatura que introduce elementos nuevos y experimentales tanto en la técnica como en la temática. Es una literatura que se distingue por su calidad y originalidad. Este artículo se limitará a analizar tan sólo a algunos autores que escriben en árabe, descartando a aquellos que lo hacen en francés o en inglés.

The end of the civil war has led to numerous Lebanese authors writing in Arabic being translated and known in Europe and the USA; their novels were published in the eighties and nineties and they are characterized by the introduction of new and experimental elements both in the narrative technique as well as in the topics covered, with a touch of quality and originality. Only authors writing in Arabic are analysed.
