dc.description.abstractLa integración de un profesor principiante en la compleja estructura universitaria no es una tarea rápida ni sencilla. El profesorado desconoce la organización y funcionamiento de la institución universitaria, la diversidad de funciones que debe realizar y, entre otras muchas cuestiones, aunque sea especialista en su disciplina, puede no poseer las competencias docentes necesarias para diseñar e implementar con sus estudiantes procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje de calidad. Los proyectos de mentorización, donde profesores expertos o asesores orientan y supervisan, de forma voluntaria y colaborativa, el proceso de iniciación a la docencia del profesorado principiante suponen una herramienta muy útil para favorecer el enriquecimiento mutuo y el desarrollo profesional en la educación superior. El objetivo principal de este trabajo es describir el proceso desarrollado en el proyecto “Asesoramiento para la mejora de la docencia en la Educación Superior. Proyecto de Mentorización de profesores noveles en la Facultad de Educación y Humanidades de Melilla”, financiado por el Vicerrectorado para la Garantía de la Calidad de la universidad de Granada. Además, se pretende analizar el nivel de desarrollo en una serie de competencias docentes y la demanda formativa que presenta un grupo de profesores noveles participantes en el proyecto. Por último, se establece la valoración que profesores principiantes y mentores realizan sobre este proyecto. Los principales resultados ponen de manifiesto que, a pesar de que el profesorado principiante indica poseer un nivel medio de desarrollo en las diferentes competencias docentes planteadas, muestra una alta necesidad formativa en la elaboración de guías docentes, el empleo de una diversidad metodológica docente y la habilidad para reflexionar e investigar sobre su práctica docente. Finalmente, se discuten diferentes aspectos que son de relevancia para facilitar el desarrollo profesional del profesorado en el contexto universitario.es_ES
dc.description.abstractThe integration in the complex university structure of a beginning teacher is not a rapid or simple task. Teachers don´t know the organization and functioning of the university institution, the diversity of functions that they must realize and, along other many questions, though they are specialist in their subject, they cannot possess the teaching competencies that are necessary for design and implement education-learning processes of quality with their students. Mentorship Projects, where expert or mentor teachers advise and supervise, of voluntary and collaborative form, the process of induction to the teaching of beginning teachers suppose a very useful instrument to favour the mutual enrichment and the professional development in Higher Education. The aim of this study is to describe the process developed in the project "Coaching for teaching improvement in Higher Education. Mentorship Project of Beginning Teachers in the Faculty of Education and Humanities of Melilla ", financed by the Vice-Rector´s Office for Quality Assurance of the University of Granada. In addition, to analyze the level of development in a set of teaching competencies and the formative demand that presents a group of beginning teachers participant. The valuation of this project carry out by beginning teachers and mentor teachers is indicated also. The principal results reveal that, in spite of the fact that the beginning teachers indicate to possess an average level of development in the different teaching competencies raised, they show a high formative need in the design of teaching guide, the employment of diverse teaching methodology, and the skill to think and to research on the own teaching practice. Finally, different aspects that are of relevancy to facilitate the professional development of teachers in the university context are discussedes_ES
