Una experiencia educativa de aprendizaje cooperativo en la universidad

Abstract

En este artículo se expone una experiencia educativa de aprendizaje cooperativo mediante la realización de trabajos grupales. La asignatura implicada en esta experiencia (Materiales de Construcción) se imparte en el segundo curso del grado en ingeniería civil de la Escuela Politécnica Superior de Ávila (Universidad de Salamanca). La metodología empleada se ha basado en tres fases consecutivas: Exposición-Preguntas-Respuestas. El esfuerzo y la motivación del alumnado con esta metodología han sido muy superiores a lo esperado inicialmente por el profesor. Las encuestas realizadas posteriormente al alumnado indican que también para ellos ha sido una experiencia muy gratificante.

An educational experience of cooperative learning approach by means of group work is exposed in this paper. The module involved in this experience (Building and Construction Materials) is taught in the second academic year of civil engineering degree in the Technical College of Ávila (University of Salamanca). A methodology based on three consecutive phases was used: Presentation-Questions-Answers. Both student effort and student motivation were far higher than expected by the professor. The surveys given to the students after the course indicate that the experience was rewarding for them, too.
