Abstract

Plan Especial de Centro Histórico de Santa Fe El Plan Especial de Protección y Ordenación del Centro Histórico es el instrumento para orientar políticas a medio y largo plazo y, al mismo tiempo, para verificar y potenciar proyectos inmediatos, soportando y coordinando propuestas multisectoriales, sobre la edificación, urbanización, espacios libres...etc. en sus diferentes escalas. Estas van desde el diseño de los elementos urbanos hasta el planteamiento de estrategias en áreas homogéneas, desde las ordenanzas hasta los proyectos urbanos de carácter más general. Es importante el entendimiento del Centro Histórico como una pieza esencial y catalizadora del resto del núcleo urbano y del Área Metropolitana, ligando las políticas e iniciativas sobre el Centro Histórico a la dinámica supra-municipal. La ciudad de Santa Fe es hoy un enclave histórico relevante en la Vega de Granada y mantiene una posición singular entre los municipios que abarca el Área Metropolitana: - Por sus relaciones con la Capital y los municipios de la corona periférica - Por su vecindad con el aeropuerto - Por su contigüidad con los enlaces de la A-92 y los accesos a Granada y a la futura circunvalación metropolitana - Por su naturaleza de encrucijada de caminos entre las villas de la Vega: Cúllar, Belicena, Atarfe, Chauchina, Láchar... Preservar y potenciar hoy sus valores históricos, como plataforma de progreso y de búsqueda y aprovechamiento de nuevas oportunidades, en el marco competitivo en el que las ciudades están encarando su futuro, significa recrear su imagen urbana (tan fuerte en el trazado de su cuadrícula germinal y, simbólicamente, en su proyección hispanoamericana) en su contexto comarcal y metropolitano.
