utilización de ésta música popular.; Since at least one decade ago, the education of the gipsy race inside the spanish classroom
has been notably increased. The cultural history of the above mentioned group has been
characterized by the use of an own language, roaming and very specially by the folklore. So,
one of his most distinctive features is the production and development of an own musical
style: flamenco. The great variety of musical contents that this popular music has that come to
enrich the used ones in other styles studied and used usually in the spanish curriculum it turns
it in an appropiate way for the social integration in the classroom of music. So, the gipsy child
can show a part of the individuality of his ethnic group, producing a reciprocity in the transmission of learnt knowledge too. This proposal tries to show diverse cases of using the
new technologies in the teaching-learning of flamenco. Not only to highlight the learning of
concrete musical contents, but also to emphasize the integration potential that the use of this
popular music has.
A critical review of the model minority stereotype shibbolethHarlep, Nicholas Danielhttps://hdl.handle.net/10481/247542021-06-15T18:15:46ZA critical review of the model minority stereotype shibboleth
Harlep, Nicholas Daniel
The author conducted a thematic review of the literature on the model minority
stereotype (MMS). MMS writings (n = 246) included peer-reviewed and non-peerreviewed
materials spanning from the 1960s to present. Writings were reviewed if their
title included “model minority.” The purpose was to review the MMS critically. Six
major themes were found to recurrently appear in the MMS literature. Those themes were
the following: (1) critiquing colorblindness, (2) countering meritocracy, (3) demystifying
Asian American exceptionalism, (4) uncovering divide and conquer stratagem, (5)
problematizing Asian American homogenization, and (6) unmasking the “yellow peril”
stereotype. Implications for the education of Asian students in America and abroad are

influyendo negativamente en la convivencia escolar.; The aim of this study is to analyze the students’ perception of Primary Education about
school living together in terms of different variables for comparison: sex, age and sociocultural
environment. For it, 546 students in first course of each cycle of Primary Education
and belonging to two schools with different social and cultural background in the
Autonomous City of Melilla took part in the study. An adapted version of the Scholl Living
Together for Students Questionnaire of Sánchez, Mesa, Seijo, Alemany, Rojas, Ortiz,
Herrera, Gallardo and Fernández (2009) was used for the information recollection. The
questionnaire was administered by tutor-teachers and answered by students in the third
quarter of 2009-2010 School Year. Taken together, results show a satisfactory school living
together, although not without some conflicts. In addition, differences in the variables of
comparison are revealed. Finally, the need to develop preventive programs for control those attitudes and behaviours that could be negatively influencing the school living together are
