Literary education (education in and for literary reading) is the preparation to know how to participate effectively in the process of reception and interpretative updating of literary discourse. Literary education and interdisciplinarity are two concepts that are closely related in the educational field. Literary education seeks to develop reading skills, comprehension, analysis and appreciation of literary texts; interdisciplinarity, connecting the different areas of knowledge to address the problems and challenges of reality in a more complex and complete way. In the field of literary education, interdisciplinary experiences allow literature to be connected with various areas of knowledge, such as history, philosophy or psychology, but also with natural sciences, mathematics or artistic education, among others, promoting not only the understanding of literature in its historical, social and cultural context, but also promoting the development of critical thinking skills and analysis from multidisciplinary perspectives.
