Historically speaking, it is acknowledged that she belonged to the modernist era, and, consequently, to my knowledge, every study that has been published on her work has been carried out from a modernist approach. Gerardo Rodríguez Salas is the first scholar to develop a monographic study in which Mansfield is analyzed from a new perspective; he claims that Mansfield is a modernist writer who anticipated the postmodernist movement.
