abstract = {El Concurso de Cante Jondo se gesta en un ambiente netamente artístico, con notables antecedentes en la pintura, el dibujo, el grabado, la fotografía, el cine, la literatura, la música y la danza.
Significo un antes y un después en la consideración y dignificación del flamenco.
Se concibió como un acontecimiento de arte total donde los espectadores participaban con una indumentaria especial, la luz, los colores, el decorado del acontecimiento, la participación de los escaparates de las tiendas, la presentación de los actos, y los olores con juncias y 
maestranzo alfombrando el suelo. Sin olvidar el proyecto pedagógico de creación de una escuela de Cante Jondo.},
