abstract = {En el presente documento se realiza la descripción, el análisis e interpretación de la festividad de los roseros, celebrado del 22-24 y del 29-31 de diciembre cada año, en Ocotlán de Morelos, Oaxaca, México. El ritual tiene dos lecturas que confluyen en el tiempo y el espacio. Una, la de la Iglesia como institución y otra, la de la comunidad. Para la primera la ceremonia representa una oportunidad para la reflexión, el sacrificio, la penitencia, el dolor y la perfección. Para la segunda, el ritual tiene un sentido diferente y un significado integrador. Una expresión dinámica que reconstituye tanto elementos de la experiencia religiosa cotidiana autóctonos como el tejido social. Esto facilita una forma de situarse en la realidad vivida, donde la alegría comunitaria tiene momentos cumbre, en la montaña y calles de la localidad, en el que se baila, se bebe y se comparte. Así los rituales en la comunidad articulan procesos que logran la anticipación y la coexistencia de dos perspectivas religiosas: la católica y la indígena.},
abstract = {The current document presents a description, analysis, and interpretation of the Roseros festivity, celebrated in December 22nd-24th and 29th-31st every year, in Ocotlán de Morelos, Oaxaca, Mexico. The ritual can be interpreted in two different ways that come together in the spectrum of both time and space. The first interpretation is that of the Church as an institution and the second, that of the community. For the former, the ceremony represents an opportunity for reflection, sacrifice, penance, pain, and perfection. For the latter, the ritual has a different sense and integrating meaning. It has a dynamic expression that re-constitutes elements of the daily religious experience as well as the social network. It also facilitates a way of being located in ordinary reality, where the joy of the community has climactic moments in the mountain and in the streets of the town in which people dance, drink, and share. The rituals in the community articulate processes that achieve the anticipation and the coexistence of two religious perspectives: one Catholic and one native.},
