abstract = {El artículo examina una de las dos fiestas principales de los indígenas Awá. Hace una aproximación histórica que contextualiza el origen de esta celebración y la ubica dentro de los procesos de organización y potenciación de los Awá en el contexto regional y nacional. Asimismo, pone en cuestión algunas de las apreciaciones e interpretaciones que sobre esta fiesta se han tenido. Por último, se reflexiona acerca de la importancia de esta celebración cívico-religiosa en los procesos de construcción de identidad de los Awá en aquellos lugares donde se celebra este festejo.},
abstract = {The paper examines one of the two main festivals of the indigenous Awá. A historical approach places the origin of this celebration in context and locates it within the organizational processes and empowerment of the Awá in a regional and national scenario. Also, it questions some of the observations and interpretations that have been made on this celebration. Lastly, it reflects on the importance of this civic and religious festival in the processes of building the identity of the Awá in areas where this event takes place.},
