To the West, the basement is buried below Neogene sediments locally presenting silicification and stratabound ore deposits Fe-Ba-Pb-(Ag) (Morales-Ruano, 1994). The question related to the orographic evolution of the wedge is addressed in this work: Did basinal and meteoric fluids from the sierras have circulated within the crust and interacted with deeper crustal fluids related to the metamorphism, volcanism and hydrothermal events? Answers are given by the study of fluid inclusions (FI) trapped within several vein generations of different minerals such as quartz, siderite barite and calcite, related to different stages of exhumation. Fluids are identified by microthermometry, Raman spectroscopy and halogens characterization.}, organization = {Departamento de Mineralogía y Petrología (Universidad de Granada)}, organization = {GeoRessources, Université de Lorraine, CNRS, CREGU, UMR 7359, Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy, F-54506 (France)}, organization = {Departamento de Didáctica de las Ciencias Experimentales (Universidad de Granada)}, organization = {Instituto Andaluz de Ciencias de la Tierra (CSIC-UGR)}, organization = {This work has been supported by the Ministry of the higher education and research and CNRS ST-INSU-CT5 program.}, publisher = {Sociedad Española de Mineralogía}, keywords = {Inclusiones fluidas}, keywords = {Cordillera bética}, keywords = {Mineralizaciones}, keywords = {Fluidos metamórficos}, keywords = {Falla transalboran}, keywords = {Mineralisations}, keywords = {Metamorphic brines}, keywords = {Betic Cordillera}, keywords = {Trans-alboran fault}, keywords = {Fluid inclusions}, title = {Evolution of fluid sources during the neogene exhumation of the Sierra Almagrera (Betics, Spain)}, author = {Dyja, Vanessa and Carrillo Rosúa, Francisco Javier and Morales Ruano, Salvador and Tarantola, Alexandre and Hibsch, Christian}, }
